How do we know when it's safe to file, when do the TT updates stop?

Can someone who works for Intuit/TT please explain how we are supposed to know when it's safe to file as opposed to waiting for more updates to roll out?? This past week the desktop product had an update on 4/2 and then another update just a day later on 4/3 - which is really rare. Must have been some kind of important fix. How do we know whether to keep waiting for updates or to go ahead and file!?
