How do I take off the Additional Child tax Credit when federal taxes have been rejected?

It was the wrong year for me to claim the child tax credit and my return was rejected. How do I take that off so I can refile?

If you got child tax credit you must have claimed a dependent. Since your return was rejected, just remove the dependent and file again.
