See my answer above - use your correct city/state/zip code - but  just gibberish for an address. That's the only thing that worked for me after MANY hours of attempts - different browsers, different computers, clearing cache etc. And at least a half dozen calls to Intuit/Turbo Tax support who had absolutely no solutions for me.

If you have tried all of those resolutions and nothing has worked, you would need to contact TurboTax customer support for additional assistance with this.

If you get stuck on trying to pay for the state, use 123 main street. Anything else inputted to include the correct addy didn;t work for me.

Thank you for your suggestion of reversing the names to get a credit card to work on a joint filing tax return!!   After struggling for years with this problem and having to mail everything in .... you solved the issue for me .... thank you ... thank you !!!

still having this same billing error msg...I have tried no less than10 times. Rebooting computer did not help. Using differetn credit acrds did not help. This is a Turbotax billing issue. Very frustrating!

There is a link on the state tax payment page that says “if you’re having billing issues click here” It takes you to an option to pay by phone. This was found by a support rep after many attempts at other solutions. I spent hours solving this… and it’s just a $25 fee!!!!

Just remember to change your address back! I was advised to try this workaround and now my return has been filed with the wrong address.

P.S. This is a workaround from last year! Yes this is not the first year of this problem! Also it did not work this year.

You are posting on an old thread. Can you tell us what issue you are having related to the address? Also include a tax year and if you are using desktop or online.

Looks like entering 123 Main St and reversing the name of the spouse worked!

Typing jiborrish keystrokes in the address field DOES do the trick!

I ran into this issue when attempting to file my 2022 return, and again in 2023. Here is the fix:

 

Update your billing address to the Intuit Headquarters address:

 

2800 E Commerce Center Pl

TucsonAZ 85706-4559

 

Does this make sense? No, no it does not. Does it work? Yes, yes it does.
