You need to delete your 1099-NEC and start over because it is not connecting to self-employed income or Schedule C as is the driving question on the thread you posted on.
If you are stuck with your 1099-NEC in some other way, please respond to this thread and we will do all we can to help you get a resolution.
This worked for me.
Search: "Form 1099-NEC" then go to "jump to 1099-nec" this gave me a list of all the 1099-nec forms I had submitted so far. One the list several had been submitted twice and were flagged for missing information. Once I had deleted the extra forms I no longer had the link error show up.
This took an unreasonably long time to figure out.
