How do I leave turbo tax and return where I left off?

You can save your return and go back to it later.  See the following Turbo Tax FAQ:

If you haven't finished filing your return, and would like to pick up where you left off, follow the steps below:

• Sign into your TurboTax account
• Click Take me to my return
• Choose Pick up where I left off

If you do not see those options:

Try this work around:

1. Sign into your account.

2. Click on the My TurboTax menu ( See attachment) and select  Visit My Tax Timeline . 

3. Under SOME THINGS YOU CAN DO click on Add a state. (You are not adding a state to your return.  This allows you to get back into your return.)
