The Line 27 exclusion items from Form 6251 are listed here from the 2019 Form 6251 Instructions, page 14.
If you are filing Form 1040-NR, enter on Form 6251, line 27,
Thank you so much for your reply, but I should have been more clear in my question. In working on the AMT section to determine if I get credit for AMT paid in prior year, TT is asking me:
If you filed Form 6251 last year and it contained exclusion items on line 27, you can enter the total of these lines here. An exclusion item is permanently nondeductible for AMT purposes, as opposed to a deferral item which will reverse in later years.
That doesn't make it clear to me if I just put in the amount in line 27 from 2018, or a different total made up of of other lines or exclusion items.
I did just notice this line on my 2018 Form 8801:
2 Enter adjustments and preferences treated as exclusion items (see instructions)
...and I do have an amount there. I'm guessing that's the amount to use, but it's odd the "learn more" link doesn't reference this form (8801) instead of 6251.
