Hello,
How do I know if I need to paper file vs E-File my 2022 Federal taxes?
By all appearances it looks like I can E-File my 2022 Federal Taxes via TurboTax, but I question this, as I sold a home that I inherited 10 years ago - don't I need to show the IRS the paperwork that determined my step-up cost basis, amongst other costs I incurred to take ownership of the home (probate costs, home appraisal cost to determine step-up cost basis), etc. that appear in my tax return?
Do I just file electronically and see if the IRS rejects it? And if they reject it, then submit a paper filing?
Thank you.

Go ahead and try to e-file. If you need to send in any supporting documents Turbotax will tell you so in the cover letter when you print your return..
