How do I know I owe any back taxes?

I have been receiving random calls this year that I owe some back taxes (which I did not answer assuming they are scam) and in the last 2023 tax return with TurboTax, I received a notification about this upon filling, but I am not sure what did i miss and which year was it?

can someone provide some insight on how to know if i owe any back taxes?

Sounds like spam.  Turbo Tax doesn't know if you owe back taxes.  What about your 2023 tax return?  What notification did you get?  Did you have a tax due?  Turbo Tax doesn't know if or when you paid a tax due for any year.    If you had a tax due your returns will always show a tax due they aren't updated when you pay.  That's just the result of your tax return.

To check for any back taxes you owe you would have to ask the IRS and State.  You should set up a IRS account and check your account.

And the IRS and states NEVER call you, text you, email you.  They only send you letters in the mail.
