I received the stimulus check in 2021/01 and 2021/03 for the second and third payments. The amounts are correct. Do I still need to report them in the 2021 tax return? I am using the Turbotax Mac CD version, I can't find anywhere to report these stimulus payments. Where can I find it?
Thank you!

Yes. That could happen if you first saw the question before you had entered all of your income. If you later entered enough additional income that put your AGI above the top of the phase-out range, you can no longer get to the question. But it doesn't matter, even if your original answer was wrong. If your income is above the phase-out range you are not going to get a Recovery Rebate Credit in any case, whether or not you got the stimulus payment. TurboTax stops asking the question because it no longer matters.
You are not eligible for the Recovery Rebate Credit if your AGI (Form 1040 line 11) is above the phase-out range for your filing status. The AGI cutoff is $80,000 for single or married filing separately, $120,000 for head of household, and $160,000 for married filing jointly or qualifying widow(er). If your AGI is above the cutoff, TurboTax will not ask about your third stimulus payment because it doesn't matter. Form 1040 line 30 will be blank.
Even if your income is too high to get the credit on your tax return, you can keep any stimulus payment that you received.
You don't report the second stimulus payment on your 2021 tax return, even though you received it in 2021. To report the third stimulus payment, in the Search box type "stimulus" (without the quotes), then click the link that says "Jump to stimulus."
You do not enter anything about the first or second EIP payment on a 2021 tax return. You are only going to be asked about the 3rd EIP payment-----the one for $1400 per person. The IRS began to send those out in mid-March of 2021 and continued to send them during 2021 so check your bank account if you are not sure whether you received it. Or check your IRS online account:
https://www.irs.gov/payments/your-online-account
You will be asked in Federal Review about the 3rd EIP payments you received.
There is no "link to Stimulus" on my search screen after I search "stimulus", only "contact us" and a list of questions asked by others. I have run through "Federal Review", nothing was shown for the stimulus check. I am using mac CD version. Please help me! Thanks!
If the screen for the stimulus checks will not appear for you then you have either said that you can be claimed as someone else's dependent or your 2021 income is too high to be eligible for the recovery rebate credit. If you received the $1400 stimulus check last year you do not have to pay it back even if your 2021 income is higher.
Thank you for your reply! Is there a chance that I answered "no" when I first saw the question "Did you receive the Economic Impact Payments", and then when I want to revise my answer, this question just doesn't show up again?
If you already received those payments last year then your line 30 on Form 1040 should be blank. Do you have anything on line 30?
