How do I fix the fact that I claimed myself when I was not suppose to because I am a full time student and my mother claims me?

If you haven't filed yet then follow the instructions below:

1. Login to your TurboTax Account 
2. Click "Take Me To My Return"
3. Click "My Info" from the left side of your screen
4. Click “Edit” next to your name
5. Please scroll down to “3. A few other things we need to know” and check the answer under “Someone else can claim me as a dependent on their tax return”

If your return has been already accepted by the IRS, you will have to file an amended return (1040X) to make changes. The IRS will only accept amended returns via mail. Your parents will have to print and mail their return because the amendment will take a 12-16 week to process.
