How do I file my health insurance/ Essential Plan?
I have the Essential plan. I received a 1095-B. How do I file this in my tax return? Should I be waiting for a 1095-A or does this go under the medicade option?

How do I file my health insurance/ Essential Plan?
Turbo Tax will walk you through the questions for health insurance and you do not need to enter a 1095-B.
- Click on the Federal Taxes tab and select Health Insurance
- When asked if you had health insurance in 2016, select either all year and Continue.
- When asked about being enrolled in any of these less common plans in 2016, select No, if you were covered through your work, or a state plan with a 1095-B.
Note: Plans which provide a 1095-B form have already filed that information with the IRS, so they do not need to be entered here. You only need to enter specific amounts if you have a 1095-A.
