How do I file 2022 state taxes in 2024?

I never filed my state taxes for last year of 2022 and now I am trying to figure it out and I cannot I have paid all of my taxes for 2023.

some ( many ? ) states let you file your state return directly on the state revenue website.

If you prepared your 2022 return using TurboTax you can use the CD/download to prepare a 2022 state return.   You can only use the CD/download on a full PC or Mac, not on a mobile device.   You cannot use online software; the 2022 return cannot be e-filed.

Or----get the state form from the state''s tax website and prepare it by hand.  You will need information from your 2022 federal return in order to prepare the state return.

A costlier option would be to seek local paid tax help.
