How do I efile tax form 8379?

As long as you haven't already e-filed your federal return then you can e-file Form 8379, Injured Spouse Claim and Allocation. To fill out this form in TurboTax please take the steps below.

1. Sign into TurboTax
2. My TurboTax > Tax Timeline > Take me to my return
3. Once your return opens go to My Account > Tools > Topic Search
4. Type in Injured Spouse and click Go.
5. Proceed through the interview to complete the injured spouse form.

Note: Pay close attention to the screens, as some of them apply to innocent spouse relief, which is something else. Leave those questions blank if you only want to claim injured spouse relief.
