How do I edit my total income being shown as it is duplicating my unemployment income as unemployment income and other income?

My Wages & Income only show the unemployment received as one item, but the Federal review shows it as an unemployment income and an other income.

How do I edit my total income being shown as it is duplicating my unemployment income as unemployment income and other income?

Some users have reported problems when they imported an item of income using the camera function. It's also possible to inadvertently duplicate an item.

You can preview your return before filing to find out how your taxes were calculated. See here for details.

  1. Select Tax Tools from the menu.
  2. With the Tax Tools menu open, you can then:
    1. Preview your entire return: Select Print Center and then Print, save or preview this year's return (you may be asked to register or pay first).
    2. View only your 1040 form: Select Tools. Next, select View Tax Summary in the pop-up, then Preview my 1040 in the left menu.

Once you've identified the duplicated entry, you can go to the applicable section in TurboTax and delete the information.

Then, if, in the Review section, the program is telling you that there is a blank form, you can delete the unneeded blank form:

  1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
  2. In the left menu, select "Tax Tools" and then "Tools".
  3. In the pop-up window Tool Center, select "Delete a form".
  4. Select "Delete" next to " " and    follow the instructions.

Thank you for the information. The duplicate entry was a result from uploading a document via camera to TurboTax as you had mentioned. What I ended up doing is going back into my income and removing the entry entirely and then re-adding it manually as an income source and my proper total income was reflected in my taxes.
