How do I e-file for New York State? Cannot IRS e-file.

If you cannot e-file a federal return, you cannot e-file a state return.  You are not required to do so for NY if your software provider cannot do this for you.  The requirement only applies if you have the ability to e-file the state and choose not to do it.
