How do I download a copy of the extension filed within Turbo Tax

Scott, this answer is not helpful for 2017 extensions as shown in the comments. Is TurboTax purposefully making the extension filing unavailable or is this a technical glitch?

Same problem. Spoke to someone at TurboTax and they said i have to get it from the IRS.  Why would i file through TurboTax if TurboTax can't help me?

I just tried and it worked. I found it under My Docs (for me its under the 2017 taxes ) and it'll take you to to a page that has the 2018 extension as well as the 2017 tax return. It left me download my 2018 extension without a problem. Not sure if its not working for anyone else if this is your first time using TurboTax unlike myself.

You'll need to go to "My Docs" to find it, then there will be a section under the appropriate year for your extension.  No idea why TurboTax makes it so difficult to find, even when you pay them.

Simply, there is no such link that you reference. This is a frustrating, kind of evil site to navigate (or not). I filed extension for 2020. Application for mortgage refinancing wants a copy of 4868. It should be a no brainer, one click....2 at the most....link after logging in.

where do I find "my docs"

It is on the left side menu when you sign in.   Click on Documents there (2021 docs).   Or you can stay on the Tax Home page, and scroll down to Your tax returns and documents.    Each tax year has its own My Docs in that area.

I am not sure if this has been resolved, but I am just passing along information that has worked for me. You have to go to the year and click on "Download tax PDF" and the extension should appear there. Hope this helps, I was stuck for weeks. Ciao
