How do I delete gambling winnings? When I enter "no" for "Did you win money...." the erroneous amount entered earlier is not removed.

Gambling winnings can appear on two forms in TurboTax -- the W-2G and the Other Income Statement.

You can delete these forms from your return and you will no longer be asked about gambling winnings.  Please follow these  steps:

TurboTax Online

1. While in your return, click My Account (in the blue bar at the top of the screen).  
2. Click on Tools.
3. Under "Other helpful links" click on Delete a form. 
4. Click Delete next to the W-2G and follow the onscreen instructions. 
5. Repeat the process with the Other Income Statement.
   
6. Once you have finished deleting the desired form(s) click the Continue with My Return box (in the lower right of your screen).

TurboTax Desktop

1. Go into Forms Mode by clicking on the Forms icon in the top right of the blue bar. 
2. In the Forms in My Return list on the left, double-click on the form you wish to open and delete.  [In this case the 1040X.] 
3. Click on the Delete Form box at the bottom of the screen.
4. To return to the interview, click on the Step-By-Step icon in the top right of the blue bar.
