How do I claim glasses

The costs for glasses and eye exams can be deducted as part of medical expenses.

This is an itemized deduction, so if you don't have a lot of itemized deductions, it may not change your refund. 

1. Use the search box toward the upper right corner to search for Medical expenses. 
2. Next, click on Jump to medical expenses.
3. The first question will say, Did you spend more than $XXXX on medical expenses in 2019?
4. If you think you have more than the amount listed, go ahead and enter your expenses. 

You can deduct dental expenses, medical supplies, prescriptions, co-pays and many other expenses in this section.
