Here are the steps to get to the question "Someone else can claim me as a dependent on their tax return." Answer Yes or No.

Sign into your TurboTax account and click "Take me to my return"

Select Personal Info (top left of program)

Select Edit next to your name

On next page, scroll down until you come to "A few other things we need to know"

Change your answer on first question "Someone else can claim me as a dependent on their tax return" Yes or No

How can I change my return to reflect that I cannot be claimed?? I accidentally checked the box that I can be claimed.  And I need to change that.

I Just Did This

Log Into Turbo Tax

Go To 'Your tax returns and documents'

Select  Tax Year You Want To Make Dependent Change To (Ex: 2018 or 2019)

On The Right Hand Side Select 'Amend/change' > Amend Using Turbo Tax

Go Next To Your Name And Personal Info And Click EDIT, 

Scroll down to 'Someone can Claim Me" , > UNCLICK

Continue Until the End, Print The PDF, Send ASAP To IRS To Get The Changed Reported. 

May Take 12-16 Weeks But They Will Be Aware of The Change and May Issue A Check.
