How do I change my filing status from Single to head of household?

If you claimed a dependent in the My Info section of the program you would have been asked a series of questions to verify you were eligible for Head of Household filing status.

If you do not have a qualified person as a dependent you are not eligible for HOH.

First you must have a qualified dependent.

• This will be posted to the My Info section of your return.
• You will be asked questions about the dependents relationship to you.
• If they qualify as a dependent, the program will determine the Head of Household status.
