My exact issue is I no longer need the self employed program for my 2022 taxes as my spouse stopped her side business in Q1 of 2021.
Regarding transferring the 2021 return info into the 2022 program; I assumed with the step by step functionality of TurboTax it would identify that I no longer have the business. I logged in with my normal user name and password, started answering the questions (which I believe included an item if we were self employed or had a business in 2022), and discovered at the very end it was using the self employed version and not the premier. When I looked through trying to find schedule C as referenced in this thread, it was no where to be found. I eventually had to delete everything and start from scratch to be able to use premier.
I like the idea of carrying forward info from last year but I also feel that the system would be more intuitive in determining which program should be used and the appropriate price.
