How do I apply my federal refund to next years taxes. The instructions advise typing apply federal refund to next year in the search box but that doesnt work

To apply your refund to the 2023 tax year follow these instructions.

Open or continue to your return, if you don't already have it open

1. Under Federal Taxes, tap Other Tax Situations
2. Tap Additional Tax Payments, and Apply Refund to Next Year
3. Select the first option (apply all or part of it) when asked how you want us to handle your 2022 refund 
4. Enter the amount you want to apply and continue
