How do I answer questions about my child's 1040 income when they are an adult living and working overseas, with no US income?
He is a US citizen but has not lived in the US for 5 years.

What are you trying to do? Are you trying to prepare a tax return for him? Claim him as a dependent?

You shouldn't have to answer any questions about your child if he or she is over the age of 18 (but not a full-time student up to age 24) and you don't furnish over one half of his or her support. In that case they would not qualify as your dependent so they shouldn't be listed on your tax return.
