How do I adjust my 1099-misc income if received in 2020?

The 1099-misc is issued by the payee.

If you believe the 1099-misc is reported incorrectly, you need to contact the person or company that issued the 1099-misc and have them file a corrected 1099-misc.

If the payer refuses to correct it, you have several other options.
