Hello,
I'm talking about the 1099-MISC I got from the MN Department of Revenue.
It's for 260.00 and it says required to add as taxable income when filing.
You will post it in the Wages & Income section of your tax return.
Start at Wages and Salaries
This will successfully pest the 1099-MISC and not charge you employment taxes like Social Security and Medicare.
Thank you for your response. So it says to accurately report this income,
you'll need to upgrade to deluxe. I've always just filled using the free addition.
So off topic but by upgrading could I also get help adding Facebook income that
I got no W2 for?
Yes, you can get assistance in preparing the return. You can online Live assistance right inside the program. You may need assistance because the Facebook income may require completing a Form Schedule C. If your Facebook income is a business you will need to upgrade to TurboTax Home and Business.
Choose the TurboTax Deluxe edition if you are looking for deductions related to your job or home ownership. For deductions associated with stocks or rental properties, choosing the TurboTax Premier would be the best option. If you have a home business or are self-employed, TurboTax Home and Business would be ideal.

Thanks for your response. My Facebook income is not a business. It's from a tribute celebrity
fan page I run. I went under wages earned as a household employee and it said only report income
in the box less than $2,600. Mine is $1,898. So can I use this?
This sounds like self-employment income, and it needs to be reported on your return. See the TurboTax Help article Am I considered self-employed? for more information.
You're not a household employee based on this income. A household employee is someone who's paid to provide domestic services in another person's household. See the TurboTax Help article Who is considered a household employee? for more information.
You probably won't receive a Form 1099-K from Facebook. Form 1099-K shows the gross amount of reportable payment transactions on Facebook, but online marketplaces are only required to send Forms 1099-K to taxpayers who receive over $20,000 and have over 200 transactions.
However, the form may be available where you find your account data on Facebook.
To enter your self-employment income and expenses in TurboTax Online:
Thanks for your response. Appreciate it!
That was very helpful. However, I cannot proceed without the tax id of the payer..... Alabama Dept of Revenue. Any way to get that number or work around it???
Thanks.
What kind of tax form or 1099 do you have @Josie10? - The tax ID should be on your 1099 - G, MISC, or NEC. If you don't have a tax form, use other reportable income to report income.
