How can I restart my tax return using the free edition on the turbotax website? I "finalized" my return, but I need to file by mail and want to make a change first.

As long as you have not mailed the return, you can go back and make changes.   In TurboTax Online, sign in and you should see Taxes Done on the Tax Home page.   Scroll all the way down and click on Add a State.   That will unlock your return to make changes.

Thank you so much for your quick and accurate answer which easily solved my problem! I haven't mailed my return yet and didn't intend to finalize (I thought it was going to let me look over the actual forms first). I can now make the necessary changes.
