Your problem is much bigger than removing your husband's Social Security income. It's nearly impossible to remove one spouse from a joint tax return, and change it to married filing separately, without causing errors that you will not be able to fix. If your husband is listed first on the joint return it's even worse. You should just delete or abandon the joint return and start two new separate returns from scratch, one for you and one for your husband. When you start the new returns, do not transfer information from your 2023 tax return if you filed jointly for 2023.
