Are you using the Online version or the Desktop program? Will they be using the same computer?
If you use the Desktop program each return is saved on that computer in a separate file ending in .tax2025. Your data is not kept in the program. So someone using the program could open any return. You could copy your return to a flash drive or somewhere else and then delete it from the computer. Or you can put a password on a file. Go up to File-Password.
If you are using Turbotax online, each tax return needs a separate online account with a separate user name and password. If you share your user name and password with someone, they can access all your data.
If you are using the desktop program installed on your own Mac or PC, each tax return is a separate file, like having more than one word processing document or spreadsheet. Your individual tax return file can be saved with a password so no one else can open it, or you could save your tax return file on a removable memory device. Tax return files are generally saved in the "Documents" folder with a name like "John Smith 2025.tax2025" (although the part of the name after the dot might be hidden by your system settings).
