If you are in the efiling stage, the whole purpose of the 6-digit code some people need is to verify the email address.   If you are not getting the code in your email, be sure it is not ending up in your spam/junk folder.

You may also be able to verify the email address from inside your Intuit Account settings.   

Log in to Online TurboTax.  Near the bottom of the left column menu go into Intuit Account.  Then go to Sign In and Security.   See if your email address is correct there (you can change it), and if it's correct, see if it is "verified."  If not, you can verify it there with the link there.    It may then send you a link to that email address to verify with.   Once verified for the Intuit Account purposes, close Online TurboTax.  And then sign in again.  

That might be enough to fix it.   When you try to efile, it may not ask you to verify again.  However, if it still wants to send you a 6-digit email verification code,  be sure the code is not ending up in your email's spam/junk folder.   See this FAQ on some tips:

Just noticed you may be using Free Edition, which does not include free phone support.  If the maneuvers above don't work, and if the phone system doesn't let you reach them by phone, then another way to reach Support if you have social media, is to direct message a Support agent:,
