Hi Everyone I need help. I'm helping my dad with filing his taxes online for the first time than his normal run down to our local Liberty Tax. I need his 1095-A

but he says that he's never received it before and that his usual 1095-B is fine. His insurance provider is TRICARE. He's retired from the military so he doesn't get his insurance information on  Marketplace like me. But he should still get a 1095-A still either way?? Like he pays for his healthcare so I'm assuming he should get one...Help

No, he would not receive a Form 1095-A.

That form is only issued to someone who received Health Care Insurance through one of the state Marketplace Exchanges or from healthcare.gov.

Your dad has his health insurance through TRICARE and is issued a Form 1095-B.

A Form 1095-B is not entered on a tax return.

Omg thanks!! I was so worried if I filed it would get rejected. I was trying to file the 1095-b but it would just direct me to the 1095-a page.

Thanks again! 🙂
