If she is a full time student and didn’t provide more than half of her support you can claim her. Her income must be reported on her return.

Yes, you can still file her on your taxes as a dependent. She will have to file taxes for herself, too. It will ask if someone else can claim her and she will answer "Yes."

This information cannot be changed at this time and you should wait until the return is either accepted or rejected.  If your return is rejected, you will be able to modify before you resubmit.

If your return is accepted, you can amend, or correct, your return if the original entries need correction. There is no additional charge to use Turbo Tax to amend your federal or state return but you will need to wait until the IRS and your state have finished processing the original return. You do not want two copies of your return there at the same time and sometimes they make adjustments.

This is a TurboTax Help article with some Do's and Do nots of amending

To update your dependent's information:

  1. First, please check My Info in the Federal return, from the menu bar on the left side
  2. Then, click on the little down arrow for Dependents
  3. And click on the Edit button for your first dependent
  4. Please complete all the questions until it brings you back to the main My Info screen
