This form is necessary to report COVID related distributions from IRA's and other retirement plans to report the distribution, pay it back over 3 years or spread the tax over 3 years.

A COVID-19 related distribution is reported on a new 8915-E form.

Hello! Need to complete 8915-E. Can you assist.

For some reason even though the draft has been available for WEEKS now (to use for prep) and the final version came from the IRS Feb 11th,  it says turbotax won't have it until FEB 24  THIRTEEN DAYS later. Im waiting also. No clue what the hold up is. :(

TurboTax must submit their version of the form to the IRS for approval before they can release it to the public.   That usual takes 2-3 weeks.   TurboTax must conform to the IRS rules for e-file providers or risk being disqualified to be an e-file provider.
