Has anyone with dependents heard anything about a refund or if they qualify for the unemployment refund?

I have not heard anything. My transcripts have not changed. I got my taxes back in March. When I called a few weeks ago she said there was nothing on my file yet. I do not owe anything and feel I should get the refund.

The IRS began to send out the additional refund checks for tax withheld from unemployment in May.  The refunds are being sent out in batches—starting with the simplest returns first.   If you are eligible for the extra refund for federal tax that was withheld from your unemployment the IRS will be sending you an additional refund sometime during the next several months.  TurboTax cannot track or predict when it will be sent.  The IRS has not provided a way for you to track it, so all you can do is wait for the refund to arrive.

Ya I think its ridiculous they cannot give an update. They want their money when they want it. Just saying... lol

The IRS is already severely backlogged and understaffed.   Would you like for them to take time away from processing returns and recalculating those unemployment refunds--including your own--- so that they can also spend time sending out "updates" to everyone?    Congress changed the tax laws in the middle of the tax season and created chaos for the IRS and the taxpayers of the U.S.   Get annoyed at Congress.
