Has anyone had their saved but not submitted turbotax file deleted when TurboTax ran it's typical startup update?

I had 2 partially completed 2020 tax returns (1 for me another for my son) saved while I waited to receive all of my  paperwork.  When I opened TT today, it ran the normal update, but then took me to the "Begin" screen.  My 2 files are no longer found in the application and I can't find them in the location where I had them saved on my computer.  I've searched the hard drive and Recycle bin and files are gone.

It should be saved to your computer using a .tax file. 

If it is not saved on your computer, then you would need to start over.
