Grandson is 19 and will graduate this May from high school. He gets monthly SSI checks. Can I claim him as a dependent on my tax return?

Does he live with you? If so, then yes--he has been a full-time student for 2017. The SSI checks do not count as income that has to be reported on a tax return.
