Got a CP05A notice. Letter says they want 3 pay stubs one being the end of year. Me and my wife both have 2 w2’s each. Should I send 3 stubs in general or 3 from each w2?

Main concern is if they want just 3 pay stubs ( including end of year ) or 3 pay stubs from each of the employers we had. Letter doesn’t specify 3 from each just says 3 pay stubs.

@wareaglee1- , I think what they  ( the IRS ) are saying is that there is a mismatch between the earnings  reported by you and the info they have.   Therefore  ( and probably per the notice that you received ), just upload the pay-stubs from all jobs for both filers .    But first check to make sure that the W-2 entries (from physical ones )  is correctly entered on your return -- go into forms mode and look at the actual data you entered.

Since IRS has contacted you  and if there is an actual error   -- (a) you do not need to amend to correct -- just send IRS the docs they are asking for  and (b )  you should also talk to the state -- they depend on the IRS.
