Pagu,
Thanks for your post! I spent about 3 hours on the phone with TurboTax yesterday, and no one thought of this issue. I looked at my Form 8453, and it was 22 MB! I reset the resolution on my Scan app from 600 dpi to the default of 200 dpi, decreased the size to 2.3 MB, and re-saved it in the Turbotax Business app. Worked like a charm, and saved me a lot more time on the phone!
We are happy that the solution they posted worked for you.
Please let us know if we can assist you with anything further. @VerboseDaddy
"Reset all zones to default level", as suggested by other posts, did not help me.
Here was what I did to transmit the tax successfully:
I got my tax file in TurboTax ready to transmit - to the point where the "Transmit" button is shown, and pressing it would file the tax.
I then disconnected the power cord to my home wifi route and left it off for about 10 seconds, then reconnect it.
When my home wifi is available again, I then clicked on the "Transmit" button, and voila, I got the confirmation that the tax was filed, and later an email saying that it was received by the IRS.
Thanks so much! I can't believe I missed that! They really need a better warning...
I am having your exact problem e-filing right now with TT Business 2023 desktop ..
Fid you ever get an answer??
thank you

You are posting on an old thread. Can you tell us what problems you are having?
I actually FINALLY just got the returns to send! Apparently the new pdf signature page that’s required was too large. All I did was reduce it (from about 30MB to 6MB) .. Jeez, there could be someplace that it tells you the file size limit. When you take a pic with your phone it’s usually a larger high quality file..
Anyway I hope this might help others. 🙂
Problem was caused by a PDF attachment in my return that was too large. I reduced the size of the file from 60mb to 4mb, and the e-file transmission went right through. -Thank you!
I had this same problem and had to change my scan settings. It worked! Thank you for posting your tip!
This is the only solution that worked for me. The first time I uploaded the file as a PDF, then I removed it and just uploaded it at an image and the transmission was successful.
Thiis happened to me last night. The error message needs to be updated. There was nothing wrong with my internet, as I filed my personal immediately after with no problem. The problem for me was a new 8453 had to be signed as I had an earlier dated form. This is the E-File declaration for Form 1065. Problem solved. Hopefully this helps a lot of you out there.
I have the same issue now in 2024 and I can't send file out even though I have set the internet level to zero.
please help!!!
I would suggest checking the size of any attached files, especially the required signature form.. Just try resaving your pdf or jpg so it’s pretty small, like under 10MB (just a guess but that’s all I did).. There’s nothing wrong with your internet settings. The error message needs to be updated and TurboTax needs to clearly state the attached file size limit.. Hope this helps
