Free efile with turbotax business

I have used TT Business for doing Trust returns for many years.  Noticed that the 2021 version now states it includes 5 fed efiles.  In the past, I have only been able to do the free fed efiles on the personal TT versions.

Is the free fed efiles new to the 2021 Business version?  I checked the details from the packing of 2020 TT Business version from last year, it does not mention any free fed efiles.  Remember that the Business version never in the past included the free fed efiles.

Thanks,

Robert

Free efile with turbotax business

Federal e-files for TurboTax Business have been free for as many years as I can recall.

State e-files for TurboTax Business incur an extra charge.

Free efile with turbotax business

Hi,

Strange that I’ve been using TurboTax Business for doing a Trust return the last few years and have always tried to do a free Fed e-file and always get response of asking for a fee to do so.  I know the State e-files always incur a charge.

I see the advertisements from Amazon, Wal-Mart and Costco on-line that it includes 5 free Fed e-files. This is the first time I’ve noticed it.   But, I have never noticed this being offered on the past packaging.

I wonder if it depends on where the product is purchased.  I last couple times a bought it from Target on-line.  Previously, I generally get it from Costco.  This year, I checked the local Costco and noticed the TT Business packaging again does not state the free 5 fed e-files.  However, the Costco on-line download version of this product does mention the free e-files.  This is rather confusing, because the price is same whether it is bought in-store (CD version) or on-line (download version).

It does not depend upon where it is purchased. The number of federal e-files has not changed.
