where do I enter long term proceeds

in the investment section. long-term is determined by the dates you enter.
there is also a 1099-B worksheet for reporting transactions with no adjustments and proceeds and tax basis are reported to the IRS. there is a separate line for short-term and long-term you would enter the total of long-term proceeds and cost - these are type D transactions as shown on the 1099-B without adjustments.
Use the 1099-B entry in the Investment Sales section of TurboTax. You will enter the proceeds, basis, and the dates acquired and sold. The dates will determine the holding period, and TurboTax will automatically prepare 8949. How do I enter a 1099-B. Choose Skip Import and I'll type it in myself.
You can search for 1099-B or investment sales - both will provide a jump to link that will take you directly to the investment sales section. Select 1099-B whether or not you have an actual form.
When do I need to include my 1099-B with my return?
