Form 8938 pushed another week???

Form 8938 has been pushed from 2/18 to 2/25?/ why so?  I need to get my taxes done and refund processed ASAP but this form is hindering me from doing so.   When will form 8938 be available in TT and why is it not now?? I will probably just dump all my info int H&R and see if they have the form available.

The forms are available if you are going to download from the IRS website to complete on your own.  However, e-filing is different.  Once the form is finalized by the IRS, it has to be coded into the special language the software uses and has to be thoroughly tested for calculations and e-filing acceptability.  IRS then has to approve it for e-file.  It always takes a little longer for a form to become available for e-file in a software program.  I hope this helps you understand the situation.  At this point, the IRS expects to approve the form 8938 on TurboTax e-file as  02/25/2021.

Yes I understand this but what has changed in this form to need revising other than the year???  It’s a pretty standard form.

Nothing has really changed with the form, but the IRS has been more delayed than usual with many forms because of COVID delays.
