I took my first RMD from my IRA's in 2024 and had a non-zero basis in the IRA's. Why did Turbotax not generate a Form 8606 for my 2024 return (it did generate one for the 2023 return)?

Turbotax is known to lose your 8606 history, you will have to reenter your basis from 2023 form 8606 line 14.
After manually entering my IRA basis from my 2023 Form 8606, TurboTax now calculates my 2024 refund to be larger. That makes sense because I should get some credit for past non-deductible contributions to the IRA when I took my distributions in 2024. Unfortunately, I e-filed before I caught this error. What should I do now?

If your return was already accepted then you will need to file an amended return. Please see How do I amend my federal tax return for this year? It is best to wait until your original filed return has been processed before submitting your amended return.
