Countless people have tried it doesn't get anywhere. You'd be better off using their online version... The desktop software is useless.
Apparently, according to recent responses in this thread, HR Block is also having same problem with their desktop version too.
OK, i get the sentiment but think about what you are suggesting. TurboTax is still accepting a full payment for their desktop software. I didn't order and pay for a "no-frills" version. This version was specifically advertised to support home business tax returns.
No, I'm not giving them a free pass because they are (potentially) slacking off on desktop support. What a sh**head move on a major corporation's part if that is in fact the case.
I agree! This is not a stripped-down, cheap version. It should work.
My biggest personal gripe is the lack of meaningful communication. I know how I will do the work-around if they aren't going to fix it, but it requires an amended return. I'd like to avoid that process if possible.
to the situation, just generalized frustration with the lack of communication from Intuit, their apparent lack of interest in helping what has been, until now, loyal customers.
Online TT. No problem with form 7206, SE, etc. filed & accepted
Gee. I wonder why.
I am still unable to efile due to the Form 7206 not supported for efile issue. Cookies and Cache cleared, all TurboTax updates downloaded.
please advise.
The update just came through. I am no longer getting the error message and it appears TurboTax Deluxe desktop for Mac will let me efile now.
I also just got the update and successfully filed - woo hoo! What a nightmare this has been. TT should have been able to let us all know that this would be resolved today.
Fix confirmed for desktop version
Glad someone is able to file. Now the correction download won't work for me. Feb 15 a.m. :( It's maddening.
The update fixed the Form 7206 cannot efile problem. But, it still will not let me check the box on the Form 1095-A that we did not buy insurance on the marketplace. I need to check that box.
Jani0420, I think you can avoid the 1095A issue through one of the EasyStep questions. Go to the Personal section, then Deductions & Credits, then Medical. Within Medical, the third (out of three) sections is Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A). Go there, and you can say "no" to the question of whether you received a 1095-A.
Yep, Form 1095A is an issue on TT this year for people who didnt buy insurance on the marketplace!
I just deleted mine since I didnt need it.
