Hello,
when I print the tax return on all copies of Form 1116 the value of line 3gA gets copied into 3gC even if country C does not exist and it is all blank. If I look at Form 1116 in the program this is not happening, only when printing and I am wondering if TurboTax is sending a wrong form to IRS...
Thanks,
Gianluca

I've just tested this out and am not experiencing the same error.
I recommend updating your program to ensure the latest updates are loaded. This can be done by logging into your desktop product. Select Online in the menu on the top, and then select Check for Updates.
Form 1116 is intended to report foreign taxes paid to other countries and provide a credit on your US tax return. In order to determine the foreign income percentage, the amounts of your foreign income for the particular type of income you're reporting is compared to the amount of total income to determine the percentage of foreign income on line f. Therefore, if you had any foreign taxes paid, the country would be listed on Form 1116, Part I, line i and would not be blank. If the specific country isn't know and the income comes from several countries, it may even say "various."
Hello,
I'm having a similar print problem with form 1116. My form 1116 has no entries in Col. 3 on either form 1116 or the form 1116 worksheet.
When I print the form from either the forms screen or from the print center, on line 2g under deductions, the value in Col. 1 gets inserted into Col. 3. The problem also exits when using the "Microsoft print to PDF."
Turbo tax checks for updates, every time it's opened, and my Windows 11 is up to date.
I'm using the Premier version.
I'm ready to e-file, hopefully this won't create a filing error.

On form 1116, line 2g: Column 3 is unused.
I did an override on line 2g Col. 3 and put in a "0". The print version replaced that "0", with the Col. 1 value.

Is there a work around to remove the bogus entry that appears in the form 1116 printout on Column C, line 3g? I have no entries in column C. In the printed version of form 1116, the amount in column A of 3g is inserted into column C 3g. That entry is not on the form 1116 as viewed from the desk top. Line 3g entries are calculated by Turbo Tax. This appears to be a bug in the print routine. The error also appears in the "Microsoft Print to PDF".
I have the latest updates in both Windows and Turbo Tax Premier, but the print error won't go away.
