Form 1099-NEC

Good Evening,

I am trying to enter form 1099 -NEC but it is not for a self employed situation. The form was generated for reimbursement of over paid union dues. It does state that it is for nonemployee compensation but my spouse is part of the company and union but not a true employee of the union who paid him but the company that the union is in. So basically his company has a union that he is a part of and he got a reimbursement of union dues but he is not really a employee of the union so he is not self employed like the form wants me to make him. How can I imput this  and the amount is $626.40 so I do have to input it.

Thank You,

DG

Form 1099-NEC

You can report it as other income. After you enter the information from the 1099-NEC, you will come to a screen that asks "Does one of these uncommon situations apply?" Select "This is not money earned as an employee or self-employed individual, it is from a sporadic activity or hobby." The income will be reported as other income on Schedule 1 line 8z.
