hello, my form 1098 (mortgage loan) has a box 10 specified as "other" with the value of 1605.74 in it.  When I go to plug my values in on TurboTax Home & Business, there is no box 10 area to plug in that value.  There is an empty box that is specified as "Property (real estate) taxes paid" but that is it.  Could this be what I am looking for?

Yes.   Box 10 is for amounts paid through escrow - it could be property tax or insurance.   if your monthly mortgage payment includes an amount placed in escrow (put in the care of a third party) for real estate taxes, you can’t necessarily deduct the total amount. You can only deduct the property/real estate tax that was actually paid by the third party to the taxing authority, on your behalf.
