For a US citizen permanently moved aboard what is the deadline to file tax return and FBAR?

I believe return filing deadline is extended to May 15 2021 but what is tax filing deadline for US citizen living abroad - who has permanently moved abroad ? 

I read somewhere they get automatic 2 months extension ..does it apply for both Fbar and tax return? so new dates will be July 15th 2021?

How will IRS know that filing person is living abroad so that they can give 2 months extension?

It depends. According to this IRS link dated March 21,2021, the two-month extension date is June 15. I searched through the IRS documents and there is no provision for any extensions beyond June 15. 

The IRS will know you reside in a foreign country by the address on the return. When you prepare your return, you will report that you currently reside in a foreign country.

Your FBAR is due the same time your tax return is due. In fact, you may prepare your FBAR and submit it with your tax return to the IRS. To prepare it, when you prepare your taxes in Turbo Tax, go to the search bar and type in 8938. When you press continue, there will be a link that says 'jump to 8938." Here is where you will report all of your foreign assets.

OK so for both tax return and fbar - deadline for US citizen living abroad - is June 15th?

I am still confused ...IRS says deadline for tax return for normal citizens is May 17 2021 so do we add 2 months to this date so it will be July 17 2021 (because citizens living abroad get 2 months automatic extension) ?

IRS postponed the April 15th deadline to May 17th for those that would have been due on April 15th. 

The 2 month extension to June 15th is still in effect for overseas filers. 

That is, there is no two month extension from May 17th to July 17th. 

Overseas filers are still due on June 15th.
