Florida rental property

I live in Tennessee which has no state income tax.  My wife and I own 2 vacation rental property in Florida.  I know Florida does not have state income tax.  Do I need to file anything or a Florida state tax return for rental income collected?

Florida rental property

Florida does not levy an individual income tax so you do not need to file an income tax return with the state.

However, the state does levy sales tax on short term residential rentals (6 months or less) so that is something to keep in mind if you rent on a short-term basis.

Further, there is a tangible personal property tax levied, by county property appraisers (see link below) on tangible personal property used in connection with residential rental property. You would most likely only be affected by this tax if your rental was furnished.
