First time filer - College Student

Hi, I am a 21-year old college student at an accredited institution. I have been away from home for more than half of the year. I have a scholarship and I am the beneficiary of a couple of 529K plans. I also worked for DoorDash part time. I am not sure if my parents can claim me as their dependent. If not, can I claim the standard deduction of SINGLE $12,550 on my 1040 form? Thank in advance for any insights. Cheers.

Yes, if your parents do not claim you as a dependent, you may claim the standard deduction of $12,550 if you file your own tax return.
