Can I claim my girlfriends daughter as a dependent? They've lived with me since July of 2016 and I cover expenses. No legal or blood connection, however.

First of all someone not related to you has to live with you the Whole year, all 365 days to claim them. So that's a No right away. Then if they do live with you all year there are more requirements to meet.
