Question

First Command: no 24 char Tracking ID; you can't import it

When I try to import I get an error:

"Tracking ID-Tax Info Stmt bottom pg1 (24 chars): Please enter the 24 character Tracking ID found at the bottom of page 1 of your tax documents."

There is no 24 character number anywhere in the Tax Information Statement.

Now what?

This problem is not resolved.

The only information required is the financial institution or payer name and the amount of interest. An account number is not required.

You should delete the interest income for this statement and then enter it manually or select I'll enter myself to eliminate this experience.

If that does not work, please respond back here and let us know.

    Hi TiffanyL,

You're not answering the question.  I recommend you try to import a document from First Command to test for the error.

Here's my goal: Use the import feature and import my 18 page Tax Information Statement from First Command, and let TurboTax put the numbers all in the right place.

This import feature doesn't work.  It's asking for a 24 character number on page 1.  It's not there, or anywhere.
I recommend Intuit get a sample Tax Information Statement from First Command and see what I'm talking about, then fix it.

    Thanks!
